Determination of 3D Transformation Parameters for the Sri Lankan Geodetic Reference Network Using Ordinary and Total Least Squares

Since the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) has been a common and convenient practice for many local geospatial applications, it is required to transform geodetic coordinates from global datums. In Sri Lankan context, datum transformation performed WGS84 Everest (1830) Usually, parameters are determined using least squares adjustment technique. This research compares ordinary total techniques in three coordinate transformations: Bursa-Wolf; Molodensky-Badekas; Veis, determines new reference network. Cross-Validations of hold out leave-one-out were applied validation results, which latter best. The concludes that though Bursa-Wolf model simple, Molodensky-Badekas Veis models more suitable Lanka.
